Locations
The Battle Creek VA Medical Center serves veterans from a 20-county area in west Michigan. In addition to our main facility in Battle Creek, we offer a number of services to our patients at four Community Based Outpatient Clinics, located in Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Lansing and Benton Harbor, Michigan.
Hours of Operation/Visiting Hours
Administrative hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. for the Battle Creek, Grand Rapids, Muskegon, Lansing and Benton Harbor facilities. The Admissions area in Building 2 at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Visiting hours are daily from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children under the age of 15 are not permitted on the wards without the approval of a physician.
Waiting Areas
For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility. Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations.
We have volunteers who work in the waiting areas at specific times to assist you. A Volunteer Coffee Room is located on the first floor of Building 2 and coffee is available at no charge while you are waiting for your appointment.
Security
Our Police officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
Because the VA Medical Center is federal property, all persons and bags are subject to search. In addition, no weapons, alcohol, or illegal drugs are permitted.
