Department Description:

 

The DRRTP is a 40 bed therapeutic residential facility for Veterans within VISN 11.  Domiciliary care has evolved from a "soldiers' home" to become an active clinical rehabilitation and treatment program for male and female Veterans.  The DRRTP is an integral component of VA's continuum of health care services.  The DRRTP program serves Veteran’s with substance abuse problems, mental illness and/or are homeless.

 

Services:

 

The DRRTP is based on Recovery centered principles. This is part of a national movement intended to improve outcomes and individual progress by enhancing participation and commitment on the part of the veteran.  Core Recovery concepts include:

  • Creating empowerment
  • Increasing self-responsibility
  • Finding meaningful roles
