Hours of Operation

Administrative hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for the Battle Creek, Wyoming, Benton Harbor, Lansing, and Muskegon facilities.  The Admissions area in Building 2 at the Battle Creek VA Medical Center is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Waiting Areas

For your convenience and safety, we have special waiting areas throughout the facility.  Please do not gather in the hallways or at the nurses' stations.

We have volunteers who work in the waiting areas at specific times to assist you.  A Volunteer Coffee Room is located on the first floor of Building 2 and coffee is available at no charge while you are waiting for your appointment.

Visitation is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week, except in the Inpatient Mental Health Units where the hours are from 10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Children are welcomed visitors, except when involving Veterans in an immune-compromised condition.

Go to the Visiting Hours page for more details and VA Policy on visitation.

The Battle Creek VA Medical Center police officers provide 24-hour patrols of the facility and parking lots. For general police assistance, please dial (269) 966-5600 ext. 33979.

Report all suspicious or criminal activity, vehicle accidents, and personal property losses to the VA Police while on the facility grounds as soon as possible.
