What We Do

Compensated Work Therapy/Transitional Residence (CWT/TR) is one of the Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs operated by Battle Creek VAMC. CWT/TR matches work-ready Veterans in competitive jobs – teaching positive employment-related behaviors, budgeting, and other skills. Transitional Residence provides housing for Veterans participating in CWT, to assist them into independent housing and employment. CWT/TR is a community-based transitional phase of care often utilized by Veterans discharging from other Mental Health Residential Rehabilitation Treatment Programs (MH RRTP’s). CWT/TR provides opportunities for Veterans to develop and practice responsible, positive life skills as they reintegrate into the community.
