What We Do

Social Work Service represents a diverse array of services to provide resources and support, contributing to the psychosocial well-being and independence of Veterans. The Service oversees a variety of programs including; Health Care for Homeless Veterans (HCHV), Medical Social Work, Psychosocial Rehabilitation Programs for Veterans with Serious Mental Illness (SMI), Therapeutic Recreation, Transition and Care Management (TCM), Caregiver Support, and Vocational Rehabilitation.

Social Work Service oversees the clinical practice of all social workers employed by the Medical Center. Training programs for associated disciplines are provided in conjunction with local colleges and universities
